It’s no secret that companies use advertising so much because it works. Getting a brand or product in front of you repeatedly helps to reinforce that brand or product in your mind. Think of how many times you might see an ad for Coca Cola. So does the same trick work for promoting your music? Namely, does buying ads help promote your music streams on a platform such as Spotify? And, can you actually make more money doing this?
Honestly, I think this approach is akin to gambling. Yes there are things you can do to improve your results in how well your ads perform, but it’s no different than learning to count cards. It still doesn’t guarantee success, and like counting cards, you could end up with bigger problems if you get caught. But the real question is, what do you think about it?
